We've put together a trio pack of our best Malbecs, two from Argentina and one from the home of Malbec, Cahors in France. All three are elegant with layers of flavour and all under 14% abv!

2020 Lionel Osmin & Cie Coeur de Malbec, Cahors, France
In love with the wines of the South-West, Lionel Osmin et Cie was established produce a range of wines signature of South-West France. Nestled among the meanders of the Lot river, the native land of Malbec, sits Lionel Osmin & Cie's Cahors vineyards. After the Malbec grapes are harvested, they go through a pre-fermentation cold maceration to extract aromas and tannins from the grape skin. After fermentation the wine spends 12 months ageing, partly in oak, to obtain silky tannins. The wine is deep, dark crimson. Notes of blackberry, blackcurrant, blueberry, cinnamon, liquorice, vanilla and cocoa. Soft and velvety on the palate with a long, rich finish. This wine can age for a further 5 years and is a great wine pairing for mushrooms, game meats, steak, mature cheeses and truffle.

2020 Bodega Staphyle Dragon de Vino I.G Potrerillos Malbec, Lujan de Cuyo, Argentina
One of our best selling Malbecs over the last couple of years and this new vintage is just as good as the last! Packed full with glorious notes of plums, raspberries, cherries and chocolate on the nose. The palate is well-rounded, plush with complex fruit and well-integrated oak from 12 months in new 225 litre oak barrels.  The finish is long and silky, balancing power and elegance perfectly.  A terrific wine that is possibly the best bang for buck you can find from Mendoza. Drinking very well now, but this will age a further 5 years if you have the patience.

2022 Sottano Malbec, Mendoza, Argentina
Sottano wines are made high up in the Mendoza plateau with the winery's Italian roots celebrated at every step. Founded four generations ago, they are superb at what they do - taking the grapes of the region and making fine wine out of them. This deliciously fruity style of Malbec is a must for when there are some happy drinkers around - ripe red fruits such as plums and raspberries, with chocolate and vanilla notes, without breaking the bank!
