A case of 6 delicious Loire wines, most of which are featured in our Loire virtual wine tasting. A gorgeous Cremant, 3 exceptional Loire whites and 2 fresh and vibrant Loire reds!
NV Cremant de Loire Morin Brut Domaine de Landreau
A wonderful Cremant from the Loire, made from a blend of Chenin and Cabernet Franc. This elegant white cremant has notes of lemon balm, hazelnut and almond in a soft, silky body. It is aged two years on the lees to build up the flavours.
2018 Pouilly Fume Domaine Lebrun
Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire at its best. Lebrun Pouilly Fume has oodles of rich ripe citrus fruit with zingy acidity and underlying minerality. Lovely and complex - a proper example of what a Pouilly Fume should be.
2017 Coteaux du Giennois Blanc Les Beaux Jours Fernand & Fils
It's a sauvignon blanc with a lovely floral, ripe gooseberry nose with hints of leafiness and stony notes and a complex almost creamy long palate with mineral notes and a fresh citrus and saline finish, really impressive.
2017 Vouvray Sec Domaine Champalou
The balance that the Champalous seek to achieve in this wine is 'sec tendre', in other words dry but soft and supple in the mouth. Delicious with rillettes, trout, rabbit and pork.
2019 Domaine Daridan Cheverny Rouge
Brilliant red wine with purplish reflections. Really nice bunch of red fruits on the nose. Frank attack on the palate with ripe notes; this is a light and fruity wine.
2018 Menetou Salon Rouge Domaine Antoine de Remoortere
Antoine Van Remoortere, a new, young winemaker is one to watch. This is a fantastic example of Menetou-Salon, an area very close to Sancerre and Pouilly-sur-Loire that produces Sauvignon Blancs to rival these prestigious names.
