Lafond Roc-Epine New Vintage Virtual Tasting 19th March 8pm

Kicking off a season of specialist tastings with vineyards great or small, we are delighted to announce we have an evening planned with one of the stars of our usual Rhone Roundup – Lafond Roc-Epine!

We’ve been following these guys for the last decade or so. Hailing from the southern Rhone appellations of Lirac & Chateauneuf-du-Pape, they work 85 hectares organically and are moving into biodynamics under the auspices of winemaker Pascal Lafond. From the straight Cotes-du-Rhone to their sumptuous white Lirac and their rich, warm Chateauneuf-du-Pape they are really easy wines to love. As well as showing the same silky, plush fruit across the board, they genuinely strive to keep their costs down: this vineyard has always felt like a labour of love as well as a commercial producer.

On the 19th March we will be hosting an evening based around their wines. Exploring all the appellations that they work in, we will be guiding you around their estate from the comfort of your own sofa. From the bang-up-to-date-hot-off-the-bottling-rack Tavel and Cotes-du-Rhone to older vintages of their Lirac La Ferme Romaine and their classy Chateauneuf-du-Pape, this should be a great evening – join us!

This tasting will be held over Zoom.  We will send out the sample 1/4 bottles a few days before the tasting.

19th March, 8pm

£45/ticket – this is easily enough wine for two people.

These wines can be a perfect pairing with our Cheese & Charcuterie board!
