Kaesler has been one of the beauties in our Australia Range since we were first introduced to their range of Barossa icons a few years back. Hailing from the dried out, sunscorched end of one of the hottest wine regions on earth, their intoxicatingly full and exciting range of Shiraz's has won plaudits, medals, gongs and universal acclaim across the world. Just recently, their Bogan shiraz (a mere stripling, with vines from 1899 and 1965) won Platinum at the IWC. The Old Bastard Shiraz, from a complete 1891 vineyard, has been consistently regarded as one of the most celebrated wines of the region for...well, centuries! Their Stonehorse blends show impressive plum and blackberry flavours, with ageing in older oak barrels adding further breadth and structure to the explosive fruit. Soft and balanced with fine tannins this is a spicy powerhouse of a wine not for the fainthearted!
