The Guigal family are internationally recognised for producing some of the greatest wines in the Rhône Valley and have received many awards and accolades over the years. Steeped in history, they are one of the go-to names for Northern Rhone and their famous Cote-Roties. All of the Guigal estate vineyards are situated in the Northern Rhône, and each one is managed by a vigneron team who are overseen by Marcel and Philippe Guigal. All of these vineyards are harvested by hand. The wines produced from the Southern Rhône are purchased under long-term contracts and the Guigals pay the highest price for their fruit. For their Côtes du Rhône alone, they can pay up to three times as much as the standard price, to ensure they obtain the best quality fruit.
2022 Guigal Cotes du Rhone Blanc
This Cotes du Rhone Blanc is of superb quality. Guigal source the best grapes from the Southern Rhone with an unusually high proportion of Viognier to produce big-bodied and fresh wines with elegance and strength. Wonderful freshness marked by the distinctive aromas of white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach.
2019 Guigal Crozes Hermitages Blanc
Crozes-Hermitage is situated on vineyards around the hill of Hermitage. 95% of the blend is made from Marsanne and the rest Roussanne. Maturation is carried out partly in oak for 12 months delivering a full, round, fresh and rich style with delicate oak aromas.
2019 Guigal Saint Joseph Blanc
This appellation is situated on the west bank of the Northern Rhône and produces full-bodied whites from Marsanne and Roussanne. Part of the production comes from the famous estates of Grippat and Vallouit. Some of the wine is aged in used oak but a significant proportion in stainless steel tanks to retain the freshness and fruit character.
2021 Guigal Condrieu
This distinctive appellation of the Northern Rhône produces wine only from the Viognier grape. Yields are notoriously low which in part accounts for the relative expense of the wine. Guigal’s Condrieu is matured entirely in new French oak and it is best to enjoy its fleshy round and full bodied character when young. Brilliant clear, golden-yellow in colour with notes of violets, peaches and apricots. Remarkably fresh.
2019 Guigal Crozes Hermitages Rouge
A wine filled with fruit and all the charm and spiciness of Syrah from the Northern Rhone together with freshness and balance.
2019 Guigal Saint Joseph Rouge
Filled with red fruit aromas and elegant tannins, this wine is a fine expression of this up-and-coming appellation from the northern Rhône.
