The Domaine Prieur Brunet Santenay Blanc is a blend from selected vineyard plots spread across just over one hectare of vineyards. The plots are a mix of those sited on top of the hill above Santenay-le-Haut and from the foot of the hill close to the Premier Cru Passetemps. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, after which the wine is aged in casks for 12 months before being bottled. The combination of the blend and oak ageing leads to a rich and mineral focussed wine.
Domaine Prieur Brunet was formed in 1955, after to the marriage of Guy Prieur, who was born in Santenay, and Elisabeth Brunet, from Meursault. The winery had already been established for some time by then, however – the Prieur family originally founded Domaine Prieur in 1804.
