About five centuries ago, Jean Girard began cultivating vines in Savigny-Les-Beaune. Seven generations later, Jean-Jacques Girard creates his own estate to perpetuate the family tradition. In 2008, his son Vincent joined him on the farm. Today, the family farm covers about fifteen hectares, growing excellent quality Aligoté, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
This mixed case contains 3x Bourgogne Pinot Noir and 3x Bourgogne Chardonnay Combe d’Orange.
2021 Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgoge Pinot Noir
The 2021 Bourgogne Pinot Noir has a bright cherry red colour. Aromas of dark red cherry, plum and raspberry with a classic hint of farmyard or an earthy floor. The palate is fresh and silky, filling the palate with flavours of red and black fruit, and subtle notes of cassis, spice, mushrooms and leather.
2022 Domaine Jean-Jacques Girard Bourgogne Chardonnay Combe d’Orange
The 2021 Bourgogne Chardonnay Combe d’Orange was matured in oak barrels for 10 months. The fruit is soft with well-balanced acidity. This wine is drinking very well in its youth but will age well for the next few years.
"Light and pretty on the nose; citrus and white blossom. Moreish, fresh, straightforward but as it should be."
