Made from selected parcels of old-vine grapes, planted on the shell-rich soils of Saint-Andelain hill, overlooking the Loire. Great exposure to sunlight also gives this wine greater concentration and complexity. The Bouchié family was the first to plant vines on the hill of Saint-Andelain, seeing the potential of its soil.
The top cuvée from Bouchié-Chatellier sourced from selected grapes grown on an outcrop of silex soil. Ripe, herbaceous aromas, nettle and dill, balanced by concentrated green fruit and crisp citrus acidity. It has a lovely chalky texture on the palate.
