Domaine Bertrand Ambroise is one of our favourite estates in the Cotes-de-Nuits. Nowadays mostly run by Bertrand's son Francois, it's one of the few domaines in the Cotes de Nuits to make splendid white as well as red wines. For the reds, Bertrand continues to believe in low yields, picking at full ripeness and de-stemming 100%. The domaine has been worked organically now for a number of years and the whole estate will be officially certified as such next year.
From vines adjoining the domaine’s Nuits Saint Georges vineyards. Aged in a mixture of 228 litre, 400 litre barrels and larger foudres. A lovely example of rich, aromatic pinot noir. Drink 2024-2027.
