"Full bottle 1,295 g. Lightly reductive nose with real pungency. Smoky and off-dry on palate entry. Good depth of fruit and still very fresh at two years old. It should last well into next year too. As refreshing as home-made lemonade, and not dissimilar. Persistent. Sophisticated. Very different from most Marlborough Sauvignons."

Dog Point is one of the oldest privately established vineyards in Marlborough with first plantings in the late 1970s. The vineyard is centrally located at the confluence of the smaller brancott and omaka valleys. This location is widely considered to be a very desirable area for grape growing in the southern valleys of Marlborough.

The property is sensitively planted to sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and pinot noir. Older well-established vines are situated on free draining silty clay loams. This is supplemented with more recent plantings on closely planted hillside blocks on soils with a clay loam influence.

Dog Point Vineyard own & operate the largest organic Biogro certified vineyard in New Zealand. It is an authentic working farm property with organic philosophies at the centre, with the focus on producing premium quality wine utilising environmentally friendly and responsible practices.

Our version of the classic dry aromatic style of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The citrus core of flavours are juicy and intense with deliciously refreshing saline acidity. The wine calls for simple fresh seafood but can also be enjoyed as a pre-dinner aperitif.
