Deep Wood’s wines are complex and serious, with a polish & sophistication second to none. Absolutely drinkable in the Australian fashion of their finest wines, these have that balancing trick of also cellaring magnificently – anyone willing to put them aside for a few years will savour the results.

This case contains two of each of the following:
2x 2019 Deep Woods Estate Hillside Chardonnay

“Primarily from the southern Margaret River Rowe Road Vineyard, whole-bunch pressed and fermented and aged in French barriques, 20% new. Dials things up a notch from the Estate chardonnay, with an extra degree of richness in the fruit and slightly more oak impact. Outstanding depth and length of flavour with a lingering aftertaste.” - 95 Points, James Halliday’s Wine Companion 01/11/2020

'Smart, modern Oz Chardonnay, with subtle but very present oak aromas & zesty minerality; clean, tangy palate, fresh and zesty, substantial but not heavy. Great drinking. Move over Chablis 1er Cru.' - 94 points - Peter McCombie MW

2019 Deep Woods Estate Hillside Cabernet Sauvignon

“A complex blend, mainly from Yallingup Hills plus a small percentage from Wilyabrup, 92% cabernet sauvignon, 5% merlot and 3% malbec, vinified separately, matured in French oak (20% new) for 16 months. An amazing expression of modern style, in particular Yallingup. Densely coloured, it explores sombre black fruits, then breaking free and fresh on the finish. An exceptional bargain. Trophy Best Cabernet Perth Wine Show '19.”

"Gorgeously fruity, but elegant dark, berry and hedgerow fruits; supple plate, richly fruity, firm, but elegant structure. Very classy!" - 95 points - Peter McCombie MW

2x 2018 Deep Woods Estate Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

“From the original vineyard planted in '87, the wine matured in new and used French oak for 18 months. This is high-quality, autocratic cabernet, with blackcurrant, earth and bay leaf on the bouquet and palate alike. It's minimalist winemaking, allowing the fruit maximum room to speak.” - 97 Points, James Halliday’s Wine Companion 01/11/2020

"Intense, but restrained ripe berry fruit, with nuance of mint and sweet spice; bright fruit with spine tingling freshness and a firm backbone. Still youthful. Drink with lamb."- 94 points - Peter McCombie MW
