Named after the original founders of the estate, the Avignonesi family, the winery has undergone an exciting journey since it was first established. Acquired by Virginie Saverys in 2009, Avignonesi has grown in size and at the same time has become a leader in biodynamic viticulture in Italy. To date, the estate has grown to 170 hectares of vineyards including the purchase of a state-of-the-art winemaking facility in the Montepulciano appellation.

Cantaloro is the entry wine of Avignonesi and is available in white, rosé and red. The wines are fruit forward, easy drinking and accessible. A fantastic option for an everyday bottle. The Cantaloro Rossi is a versatile, young red wine with a ruby red colour and a bouquet characterised by inviting aromas of black cherry pie, black berries, thyme, red pepper grains and exotic spices. The taste is medium-bodied, fruity and smooth with a long lingering, dry finish, reminiscent of undergrowth, with an underlying hint of menthol.
