Crumbs is all about having a healthy disregard for the rule book - firstly, that their beer is brewed from stale bread from the bakery! They brew beer using leftover artisan bread from our local Chalk Hills Bakery in Reigate Surrey. Its doing a bit for the growing problem of food waste and, as each of the beers uses a different style of loaf in its recipe, the create unique brews that make the most of such a delicious ingredient.
Its brewed using Chalk Hills bakery Surrey Bloomer loaves a sweet, delicious loaf with real maltiness. Based on a Vienna Lager recipe but fermented with an ale yeast its a true hybrid of lager and ale. Refreshing but deep!
