Vina Cobos are at the very top of the pile when it comes to quality wine production in Argentina. World renowned winemaker, Paul Hobbs has been at the forefront of winemaking in Mendoza for over 20 years - winning loyal fans and consistently gaining the highest scores from the critics. Not only did he release the first ever single varietal Argentinian Malbec to the market, but he was also the first winemaker to score 100 points for a South American wine from James Suckling.

Luján de Cuyo, is known historically as the ‘prime zone’ for wine-growing in Mendoza, situated at a high altitude of 3,250 to 3,470 feet (990 to 1,060 meters) and in a semi-desert climate, the low-nutrient gravelly soils provide ideal conditions for producing high quality grapes.

Ruby red with black tones. Red and black fruits stand out on the nose, with secondary notes of liquorice and blonde tobacco. The palate is broad, with mouth-filling tannins and a brooding intensity.
