The Vina Real Rioja Reserva is a blend of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Graciano/Garnacha/Mazuelo. The grapes are grown in the Rioja Alavesa and are harvested by hand and processed in Vina Real. Alcoholic fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature with a long maceration. After the malolactic
fermentation took place, the wine was then transferred to a mix of American and French oak casks to mature, for up to 22 months, before being bottled. Once bottled, it remained in cellars to continue its maturation prior to release to the market

The wine has high and persistent aromatic intensity, highlighting forest fruits and liquorice the palate it presents itself as a structured wine, with body and vigorous tannins which indicate good ageing potential.

Great pairing with stews, casseroles, roasted and grilled meats, pasta, pizza, mild through to strong mature cheeses.
