We've offered Ben's wines many times over the years - and they keep getting better. The 2016 Director's Cut is superb - exactly what we should all be drinking this winter!
Iron fist in a velvet glove kinda stuff. A big Shiraz from Langhorne Creek. Generous is certainly the buzz word. It's a surge of fruit from top to toe. Dense plums and blackberries, whispers of smoke and vanilla, but dangerously smooth. Some tension evident and this will settle with more time in bottle or a good decant. It just lingers and calls you back. Beautiful! Drink now to ten years+ Score: 93/100 -QWine
Everything has come together well starting with the fruit flavours, a mix of blackberry and currants, plus spices and chocolate. Full-bodied, ripe tannins and plenty of oak yet it's rich and rewarding. Score: 91/100 Reviewed by Jane Faulkner 08/2019 -Halliday Wine Companion
