The wines produced from the vineyards surrounding the Etna volcano are the new, re-discovered wines of the last decade. With its lava, volcanic soil the Nerello Mascalese grape thrives on Etna’s slopes. The production region of Etna is on 3 sides of the volcano slopes and consequently there are significant differences in style according to the area. Masseria Setteporte has been making wine for several generations and whilst always keeping an eye on the traditions of the island and Etna in particular, is always facing forward for improvement.
