2016 Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits Blanc, Bertrand Ambroise, Burgundy, France 12x75cl

Domaine Bertrand Ambroise is one of our favourite estates in the Cotes-de-Nuits. Nowadays mostly run by Bertrand's son Francois, the house style has stayed reasonably true to his father's style of muscular wines with abundant fruit and superbly handled tannins. His wines can take some time to open up but the results are never anything less than stellar.

We've always loved this - drawn from parcels less than 1km from their base in Prémeaux-Prissey and intended very much to show off their home terroir, this is a medium-bodied Burgundy which is best drunk about three yeard after release (i.e. now!) Fresh on the palette with creamy weight light apple blossom and dried honey. Lovely stuff - and incredibly versatile!
