Today Bodega Zuccardi Valle de Uco is led by Sebastián Zuccardi. Following in the footsteps of his Grandfather, Alberto and his Father, José, Sebastián’s aim is to create wines of great purity, firmly rooted in the terroirs of the Uco Valley, in the shadow of the Andes Mountains. The family makes wines that express their origin, the essence of their soils and the extreme climate conditions of the vineyards in the heart of every glass.
The grapes used in this wine come from 2 sites in the Uco Valley: Viñedos de Gualtallary, at an altitude of 1250M above sea level and La Consulta, at 1100M above sea level. The soils are sandy loam.
Grapes are selected, destemmed and gently crushed before a classic fermentation using indigenous yeast with gentle extraction by delestage and pigeage. The juice is macerated on the skins for 25 days then aged in new French oak barrels for 25 months.
Intense purple with aromas of blueberry and cassis. Rich mocha and herbs blend perfectly with big and bold rich dark fruit. Long complex and satisfying finish.
