This remains one of the top addresses in the northern Rhône, continuing to produce benchmark Côte Rôtie and Condrieu. Stéphane Ogier’s impressive new winery just to the south of Ampuis includes extra space for 24 new tanks of varying sizes dedicated solely to his range of Côte Rôtie parcels, increasing his options for vinification and blending.
Destemming varies from 0% to 100% depending on the character of each parcel and Stéphane continues to buy second-hand Burgundy barrels from Domaine du Comte Liger-Belair as well as new barrels from the tonnelleries of Taransaud and Saury.

"In the 1980s, Ste?phane’s father Michel started planting this hillside sandwiched between the Condrieu and Co?te Ro?tie appellations. The viognier grapes are vinified in a mixture of 228 litre oak barrels, 600 litre demi-muids and 1700 litre foudres. With elegant stone fruits on the nose, this is rich and round yet elegant and refined. Already delicious, this will age gracefully in the medium term. Drink 2019-2021."
