Domaine Bertrand Ambroise is one of our favourite estates in the Cotes-de-Nuits. Nowadays mostly run by Bertrand's son Francois, the house style has stayed reasonably true to his father's style of muscular wines with abundant fruit and superbly handled tannins. His wines can take some time to open up but the results are never anything less than stellar.
