Uggiano that goes well with Poultry

Located in Tuscany · Italy

The story of the Uggiano winery started in the early 1970s, when a group of businessmen from Bergamo decided to act on their deep enthusiasm for Tuscan wines by teaming up with French-trained oenologist Dr Giuseppe Losapio to establish a vineyard at Castle of Montespertoli, in Val de Pesa.

After a successful start, in 1976 the Uggiano cellars were enlarged and relocated to San Vincenzo a Torri, close to the Pesa river and surrounded by classic Tuscan landscapes and traditional communities.

Winemaker Giuseppe Losapio still oversees the team of professional oenologists, who aim to build on Uggiano’s reputation for fine wines with a constant quest for excellence. International recognition has followed, along with ratings from major guides and magazines, but at their heart these remain approachable wines with something to offer for both everyday drinking and special occasions.
