Tenuta Cucco that goes well with Game

Located in Piemonte · Italy

Tenuta Cucco sits amid a classically Italian landscape, with beautiful views over the vineyards towards the 14th-century Castle of Serralunga d’Alba and the peaks of Mount Monviso. This location in the Serralunga Valley is also an enviable one for the Barolo winegrowing region, with conditions that are ideal for top-quality grape production.

Taking its name from the word ‘cucco’ (which in local dialect refers to the hilltop location of the vineyard’s oldest section), the Stroppiana family first established a winery here in the 1960s, planting the Cru Cerrati and Vigna Cucco grapes that are so highly prized among local winemakers.

The estate was acquired in 2015 by the Rossi Cairo family, building on their 18 years of experience running the organic farm La Raia in Novi Ligure.
