Founded in 1882, the Maison Salamens is located in Gascony, in the heart of a region whose rich tradition and know-how go back 700 years. The wines selected come from Bas-Armagnac, and the greater majority from Grand Bas-Armagnac, where the noblest Armagnac is produced. The distillery is the largest in the region, with eight stills, the oldest dating from the 19th century. The estate's stock of hundred-year old brandies is one of the largest in the world.
A brilliant pale yellow. Delicate on the nose with a woody, vanilla character and a hint of port or sherry. Notes of rose petals, dried fruits and hazelnut, almond and walnut. Supple and velvety on the palate with an intense floral aroma and a touch of spice and liquorice. A long, lingering finish.
