2017 ‘The Plateau’ Pinot Noir, Sileni Estates, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand 6x75cl

Due to some excellent buying, we are very proud to release this great Pinot Noir to you - Usually £117.24 instore for this case!

Sileni Estates was founded by Graeme Avery, Chris Cowper and winemaker Grant Edmonds in 1997. The winery is named after the Sileni who featured in Greek mythology as the companions of Dionysus, the God of Wine. They celebrated good wine, good food and good company - the holy trinity!

The vineyards and winery are based near Hastings in Hawke’s Bay - the oldest wine region in New Zealand, on the east coast of the North Island. The wines are precise and fruit-driven - exactly what we want from the region.

Complex aromas of varietal dark berry fruit and and a rip-roaring florality. The palate is rich with sweet dark cherry, spice and silky tannins. This is a food-friendly style, excellent with mushroom risotto, pink duck lamb or pasta with truffle and Parmesan.
