This is the "second wine" from one of Bordeaux's rising stars in the Listrac region, Chateau Fourcas Hosten. From 2011 onwards, Les Cèdres d’Hosten has become much more Merlot-dominated, making it a delicious supple, round, and charming wine.
Forward thinking, this Chateau is now moving towards organics and the resulting replanting has given this wine its own personality. Combining the purity and elegance of the main wine whilst highlighting freshness and the primary fruit. Elegance is not something always associated with Listrac but the gently wine making process has really allowed this to come forward. Impressive stuff and perfect for drinking now as it is now 8 years old.
