Pieropan is a family-owned winery in Soave founded in 1880 and passed down through four generations to its current management.

Founder Leonildo was in fact the town’s doctor, but a passion for wine led him to found a vineyard. It became a thriving business, and passed on to his sons Gustavo and Fausto, who continued to dedicate themselves to their father’s vision.

In 1970, the winery passed to nephew Leonildo, who had studied oenology and viticulture in Conegliano and began to bring about large changes. These included introducing new technology and acquiring new vineyards in the best areas for Soave viticulture. Over time, Leonildo’s dedication to the vineyard, building on his experience gained from travels around the world, turned him into one of the top Soave producers with a national and international reputation.

Following the sad loss of their father in 2018, sons Andrea and Dario (both agriculture and oenology graduates) inherited the vineyard and continue to operate with the same passion and commitment as their father.
