Each generation has added their own unique touch. Today we find Christian, Benoit and Margot. On the Sutra de Germa side, it was Jean, a wine-seller from Bezier, who founded the site in 1920. The Gil family arrived from Spain in the 1940s. Towards the end of his life, Miguel, the head of the family, bought 3 hectares of old Carignan and Marsanne vines. These vines are planted on a Villafranca soil, which adds a mineral flavour to the wines of Monplezy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMade with Marsanne 60%, Roussanne 40% from a vineyard with Villafranchien (stony gravels) and organic (EcoCert). Hand picked at dawn, end of August. Temperature controlled by cooling at every stage of wine making, with short maceration on the fruit in order to preserve the aromatic potential. Fermentation with breaking up of the lees by hand.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eTasting Note: The colour is brilliant and golden and on the nose it is delicate and fruity with notes of white peach. After breathing, notes of verbena and lime slowly become apparent.
