Eirados that goes well with Sweet Desserts

Located in Douro · Portugal

Eirados was born out of Quinta Santa Eufemia, founded in 1864 by Bernardo Rodrigues de Carvalho. The quinta is now run by the fifth generation of the family, who decided to establish a new label 150 years after the company was first set up.

The brand name is taken from one of the oldest vineyards at Quinta Santa Eufemia,  a historic spot where Roman dolia (used to store wine and cereals several thousand years ago) were found.

Although the brand is fairly new, it draws on the family’s deep experience of the winemaking and aging processes, which has been passed down through the generations. All port and Douro wines produced here are crafted from the quinta’s own grapes, which grow on 50 hectares of land.
