Tucked away in the Macedon Ranges, about an hour's drive from Melbourne, is the small privately owned Curly Flat. This estate-based vineyards and winery was established in 1989 by Phillip Moraghan and Jenifer Kolkka, who built it up from a greenfield site to a thriving landscape of vines – primarily the chardonnay and pinot noir grapes that the site had been originally identified for.
Jennifer became sole owner of the business in 2017, tending the plants with great care and working alongside winemaker Matt Harrop to extract the very best from this high-quality site.
