USA Wine that goes well with Poultry

The USA is the fourth-largest wine-producing country in the world, despite the Prohibtion era of the early 20th century effectively destroying the majority of the country’s winemaking capacity. The country has certainly caught up with the rest of the world now, however, mainly thanks to the work of pioneering winemakers re-establishing the vineyards and developing global reputations.

There are winemakers in every state of the USA, but the majority of the industry is focused on just five states – Oregon, New York, Washington, Virginia and, most notably, California (which accounts for around 85% of the country’s production).
