Sottano wines are made high up in the Mendoza plateau with the winery's Italian roots celebrated at every step. Founded four generations ago, they are superb at what they do - taking the grapes of the region and making fine wine out of them. They aim for a mid-point between brash and bold US styles and the more restrained and refined European intellectualism – and achieve it.
While their single-vineyard Cabernet’s and Malbec’s are great (especially the Seleccion de la Enologo Cabernet, their blends are truly superb: this is one.
Deep purplish-red color with black hues. The ripeness of its grapes gives us an extraordinary aroma profile remarkable for wild berries, floral aromas, cassis, black and red fruits, and oak notes. Chocolate, coffee, coconut, and pepper come out with the long palette and refined ending.
This benefits from long decanting, from experience in our shops!
