2014 Signature Estate Cuvee, Vina Robles, Paso Robles, California, USA 6x75cl

Owner Hans Nef wants Vina Robles to express a unique balance of European heritage and American opportunity. As individuals, they are rooted in the Old World. As viticulturists and winemakers, they are empowered by the New World. Situated in Paso Robles in California, they are certified sustainable by the rigorous Sustainability in Practice programme.
“Signature” is the hallmark blend of the vintage that is unconstrained by convention to create a memorable, ageworthy wine of distinction and balance–in other words the signature wine of the vintage. This year’s blend is made from Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah–two varieties that frequently find a unique balance in Paso Robles. Both varieties are known for their intense colour, generous amount of flavour and rich tannins that will continue to develop with proper ageing. Petit Verdot comes from both the Adelaida Springs Ranch and Huerhuero vineyards while Petite Sirah is sourced from their Creston Valley Vineyard. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 20 months.
This is an electric glass of wine. Full-bodied with black raspberries, dried blueberries with mocha spice on the mouth, chewy yet layered tannins and a long creamy finish.
